Measles Epidemic Feared in South East London

Increasing concerns from doctors over the start of a measles outbreak in South East London have been reported.

Since February, twenty cases in the region have been detected by Public Health England, compared with ninety-one in overall England in the entire year of 2015.

Most of these cases are found in young adolescents, which required hospital treatment.

It is advised by doctors that people should ensure their vaccination for preventing a repeat of the 2013 Swansea outbreak in which approximately 1,219 individuals got infected.
