Neorealism, or structural realism, is a presumption of international relations that modifies classical realism. Classical realism defines international politics as a fight back among countries, and is based on the concept of human nature. In comparison, neorealism sees the routine of countries as being forced by international arrangements, positing that there is a level above the country level, which is the "structure level" (Adler, 2010, p. 56).
