Prisoners with Mental Illness

There is a wealthy amount of issues, problems, and trends facing by the regime within the prison system. Among them, some of the issues include gang activity, overcrowding, health care, mental health care, assaults, racism, and privatization. For example, Prison Reform (2013) notes that “The prison system as a whole has been overcrowded in every year since 1994. At the end of March 2013, 69 of the 124 prisons in England and Wales were overcrowded” (p.n.d).
